Exploding Box for a man!

Right here goes, my first share with you lovely people over here on A Bit of Crafty Genius! (Gulp, be gentle with me! LOL)

If you every visit my blog you will know that recently I have been making loads of Exploding Boxes. In fact the one I am sharing with you today is Box no.9 of the latest batch. The others were all girlie and flowery and to be honest by box no. 4 I was getting a bit bit bored with them. 

SO,I thought I'd try something a little bit different by making the box with black card stock and attempting to make it "manly!" I am not sure how popular it will be compared to the others but I have really enjoyed making this one.

I used a couple of old sheet of Basic Grey Papers and lots of ink! The main feature of the card is the gorgeous stamp by Crafty Individuals.

I made up my own "background" with some stamps from the Clockworks collection by Stampin' Up. I used markers in a pale green, yellow and rust. I'd like to try this again and emboss the little cogs to give a bit more dimension.
